Hi everyone, my name is Matlock and boy do I have a story to tell you. I was previously owned by a family who had me living outside in a less than ideal housing with no protection from the elements. That same family was moving and had grown tired of caring for me (if you could call it that) and told a co-worker that if they could not find placement, they were going to release me into the wild. That is a death sentence for a domestic rabbit as we do not know how to protect ourselves, find food and hide from predators. Thankfully the co-worker knew she needed to intervene, so I found myself at her house for safe keeping until rescue placement could be found, she knew with three large dogs in her home it would not have been safe for me to stay there but she was awfully nice to me and I was finally living outside with air conditioning!!! Finally, the rescue had space for me and now I have been neutered and received a health check. Thankfully I am healthy. I am also a silly goofy and very friendly bun who loves to interact with his family. I love laying around and then get small bouts of energy where I run and stretch. These are all things I did not have the space before to do so its a whole new world for me. I am learning how to use a litterbox and my foster mom says once I was neutered, I am picking up better than before. But who can blame me when for 5 years I lived alone and my droppings went through wire? Dont worry guys I will get it...practice makes perfect right? I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy pellets, lots of timothy hay and I am also now drinking out of a bowl...no more bottles for me. I love romaine and banana, those are my favorites but will not turn my nose up at any food. Would you consider giving a gorgeous boy like me a forever home?Adoption processAll adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and agree to provide a forever indoor home for their bun. Single bunnies are 85.00 and bonded buns are 150.00.
