Dakota Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Meet Dakota, the gorgeous 2-year-old German Shepherd who lives up to the meaning of her name—FRIEND! This big girl weighs about 95 lbs and is as beautiful as they come.Dakota has been well socialized and is friendly. She loves having visitors over and meeting new people. She's also good with male dogs, and some submissive female dogs. As a German Shepherd, Dakota thrives when active and busy. She would do best with an active family who will include her in their adventures. Older or dog savy children recommended. Dakota is highly intelligent and treat-motivated, which makes continued training easier. She is house and crate trained, although she no longer uses the crate as she's non-destructive in the home. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Dakota takes medication twice a day to help with separation anxiety. NO Cats for this girl, she has a high prey drive.
