Adopt River a Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White) Australian Cattle Dog / Mixed

Description:
River is a 1 year, 1 mos old, healthy Australian Cattle Dog. He is an incredibly intelligent, loving dog who wants to please. He knows many commands (sit, lay down, heel, off, in your house - his crate, where is your toy/ball, inside, quiet). He walks well on leash and absolutely loves to fetch. He has done well with our female shepherd, social at dog parks, and with kids (ages 13, 12, 10). He does not do well with the cats - chases and barks. He has continued to escalate in fights with our other older male cattle dog and we can no longer keep them both physically safe without isolation - neither dog deserves to live that way. He would do well as a single dog or with another female dog. True to his breed, he has a ton of energy and needs lots of exercise and stimulation so ideally would be adopted by someone familiar with cattle dogs or shepherds.
