Mary Jane (MJ for short) is an approximately 10 month old Maltese Poodle mix looking for an active family to make her the center- or one of the centers- of their lives. MJ led a sheltered life up until about three months ago- she was indoors only, not exposed to the outside world, people, or other dogs. While she is still a bit timid, she has quickly transformed into a happy, playful and affectionate puppy who loves going outside and meeting new (& old) friends. While she is great with kids of all ages, MJ would likely do better in a home without kids or with older kids. She gets along very well with cats and other dogs. MJ can be timid around strangers, especially men, but warms up quickly. Her favorite activities include going on long walks, her daily visits to the dog park, and playing with her person. Although she is very active, MJ is always ready to relax and cuddle. Due to previous experiences she is afraid of basketballs, being locked in small spaces, and loud noises/yelling. She would do better in a quiet home. Although MJ is fully potty trained, she arrived at her foster pee pad trained. Due to this, her foster always keeps a pee pad out just in case.
