Faye came to OHRR through a shelter transfer when a shelter in another state experienced a large influx of bunnies from a rescue situation. Despite her challenging past, Faye remains a bundle of sweetness and spunk, ready to bring joy and love to her forever home. Faye is a special bunny with some unique medical needs. She is a Pasteurella bunny and can get snuffles when stressed. Additionally, she doesn't respond well to typical anesthesia due to an abnormal heart rhythm, which has led her vet to use a special kind of anesthesia for her in the past. An initial echocardiogram didn't show any heart disease, but she has reacted poorly to anesthesia twice now. Though asthma was initially suspected, she did not respond to inhalers, leading the vet to believe she doesn't have it. Despite these medical quirks, Faye is a lively and loving bunny who can thrive with the right care. She also can be bonded with another bunny, according to her vet, making her a wonderful companion for a bunny friend. All our rabbits are socialized, litter trained, and in good health, unless stated otherwise. We screen all potential adopters. We charge a $40 non refundable adoption fee when the adoption is finalized, and an adoption contract must be signed.Shelter locationThe Ohio House Rabbit Adoption Center is at 5485 N. High Street, Columbus, OH. We are open on Wednesdays from 5:30 -7:30 and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4.
