Bonaparte, Angora, English For Adoption In Melbourne, Florida

Price:
$100
Location:
Melbourne, FL
Description:

Bonaparte is from a hoarding case where buns weren't getting the car they needed. He is doing great since coming to us and almost ready for a furever home! This is Bonaparte's glow up! Bonaparte a good eater, super curious, brave, gets the zoomies, and he gives kisses when foster Kelsey sits down with him. Bonaparte has beautiful blue eyes and soft fur. He loves going for a pet stroller walk. He has yet to thump. He's polite at night and doesn't make a lot of noise. He's curious, easy to pick up, gentle and mischievous. But he 100% needs a free roam house. He said he's had enough of cage life and wants his freedom. Who can blame him? Bonaparte is a messy boy and not great with his litterbox yet but we're expecting that to improve after he recovers from his neuter on Saturday. As an Angora, he requires frequent grooming so he will need someone experienced with handling bunnies who is able to keep up with that. He's a perfect bunny aside from upkeep We think he's going to get adopted quickly. Message if you're interested and fill out our adoption application here: bit.ly/Scbadopterapp -----------------------About bunnies:First time rabbit adopter? We can send you information about housing and care. You should also know:3- Bonding bunnies - both buns must be fixed or there will be territory issues and aggression. Read more on the House Rabbit Society website. Or contact us about low cost spay/neuter.- Bunnies are NOT starter pets. They need (indoor) space and attention like a small dog would. They need hay, pellets and greens daily. And any health issues (not eating, etc.) require immediate attention.- Bunnies are NOT a good fit for young kids. They are fragile, startle easily, usually don't like to be handled, and do not do well under stress like the general household noise that comes with little ones. Trust us, it's a lot of work you don't want to take on if you're caring for small kids. If your little one absolutely wants to meet a bunny, we can set up a visit with one of our more mellow bunnies and there's no commitment involved :)- Bunnies can be somewhat skittish but they are also fun. If patient and understand that bunnies get comfortable with people on their own terms, you'll make a bunny friend. Spending time on the floor with them and offering treats is a great way to bond with them.- Bunnies MUST be housed indoors. RHDV-2, a highly contagious and fatal wild rabbit disease in now in Florida and transmitted in the ground. Domestic rabbits cannot tolerate the heat. They also need to be safe from predators and parasites like ear mites. They will be much happier being a part of the family, inside.##2077713##Adoption processThe adoption fee is $100 to cover the cost of the spay/neuter.Shelter locationWe are a foster-based rescue. We do not have a shelter. Get in touch to set up a meeting to see our bunnies!
